A Peek Into my Journey:

My love for creating began as a child. School was always difficult for me, but I grew up in a home where creativity was encouraged and my mom always made sure I had a space for my art. For that I am forever grateful. I dabbled in college for a bit, realized it wasn’t form me and came home to find myself working minimum wage jobs.

It wasn’t until I was fired from a serving job that I realized it was time to begin pursuing my art. Getting fired from that serving job was the best thing that ever happened to me because it lead me to pursuing a creative career.

I became a professional photographer….stay along for the ride and I’ll get to the part where I ended up with a paintbrush in my hand.

…..then we opened a shop

Shortly after coming home from college and getting fired from that job, my family given the opportunity to open a home and gift boutique. My mom and I worked alongside each other for four years. Those are still some of my favorite years of my life. During those years I got married, had two babies, said goodbye to my photography career and began painting and selling my work.

….then we sold.

In the years of growing our little brick and mortar, I found such a passion for entrepreneurship that I continued to build a career as an artist. That year after selling our home and gift boutique, my daughrers were one and two, my husband had deployed overseas and my little art business had grown into something more than I could have ever dreamed.

A New Chapter

2017 was a brand new beginning for me. I became a licensed artist which brought on opportunities that 16 year old me never would have thought were possible. I have had my work in stores like Kohls, Nordstrom, Francesca’s, Hobby Lobby, and more. I also felt so blessed to be working as a fine artist and was able to create work and send my original art to collectors across the world.

I did this all from our dining room table while my girlies napped.

That brings us to today….

It’s been a wild ride since I began painting and selling my work as a fine artist back in 2014. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I now work from my own studio space in our home located next to my girls bedroom where they are never more then an arms reach. They often are working on their own projects while I paint.
